Lauren found a new favorite swing-the hammock.
She took her first dip in the lake. It was short and sweet, in her words, "too cold, lake too cold".
This was much better.
Lauren also had a traumatic experience-the boat ride. She had been on the boat many times last summer and fall and had no problems with it. This year she was very excited to go on the boat but as we got further away from the dock the fear began to take over. After 5 minutes it was clear we needed to head back to the cabin. And for the rest of the night Lauren processed her fear of the boat. It still comes up in conversation after it happened a week ago. She did make it back in her life jacket and on the dock before we left-it's a start:)
"No boat ride, scared motor"
